Study of Albert Einstein

It was suggested to me to try and make some portraits in a style consistent with Rembrandt. Obviously, I remain light years away from Rembrandt’s immense artistic skill. However, I thought I could still try to emulate his style in terms of composition, values, and colour, utilizing darker earth tones with minimal light throughout the painting. I am satisfied with the likeness and feel that it has a Rembrandt feel in terms of style. I thoroughly enjoyed the exercise!
